Yoga - Cobra

To remove any tension from your back and spine.

1. Lie on your mat as illustrated. Relax all muscles completely.

2. Rest forehead on mat. Gracefully, place hands beneath shoulders, fingers together, pointing inward.

3. In very slow motion, tilt head backward. Push hands against floor and begin to raise trunk. Important: spine must be curved.

4. Raise upper body slowly, with spine continually curved. Head remains tilted backward. Relax legs. Hold without moving for 15 counts.

Keeping spine curved, slowly lower upper body. Slowly tilt head forward. Return to position 2, then to position 1. Relax all muscles completely.
